Vote Yes For Milwaukee Public Schools

  • After more than a decade of state per pupil funding failing to keep up with inflation, Milwaukee Public Schools is asking the community for help by approving a phased-in revenue limit increase over the next four years which will generate a total of $252 million. This referendum is needed to close a significant funding gap facing MPS and to ensure our kids, teachers, and local public schools have the resources they need for learning. For years, MPS has worked to reduce costs and ensure that as much district funding as possible goes directly into classrooms. Unfortunately, state funding support has not kept up with rising costs. The funds from this referendum will help MPS maintain career and technical education programs, art, music, physical education, and language programs. and allow MPS to avoid eliminating important staff positions. Voting "YES" is the progressive choice.

    Vote No On Question 1

  • The same MAGA Republicans that undermine election results when they don't win are trying to permanently change Wisconsin's state constitution to make it harder to vote. If passed, Question 1 would make it significantly more difficult for our local election officials to cover the costs of running our elections. We shouldn't let MAGA extremists permanently change our constitution just because they are mad they didn't win. On Question 1, voting "NO" is the progressive choice.

    Vote No On Question 2

  • In Question 2, MAGA Republicans are trying to again mess around with Wisconsin's elections by placing unnecessary limits on how local election officials run Wisconsin's elections. Our municipal clerks know our communities and they know how to run our smooth, secure elections. This question is an attempt by MAGA Republicans to permanently undermine our democracy. On Question 2, voting "NO" is the progressive choice.
