Holland

Brian M. Everitt is running for mayor of Holland. Brian was raised in Holland and graduated West Ottawa High School in 1975. In 1984 he started working in the window-cleaning business. In 2000 he founded his own window cleaning business called Eye Can See Clearly Now, providing reliable work for local families.

Everitt’s priorities are championing the arts, addressing homelessness, community safety, fair responsibility for infrastructure repairs, smarter traffic flow and parking management, equal access and transparency for public facilities, and optimizing the city council meeting schedule.

Nathan Bocks is the incumbent running for re-election as the mayor of Holland. He has been a resident of Holland since 1986 and is married with three children. He has also served the Holland community on 19 boards and commissions over the last 25 years including chair of the Tulip Time Board, Zoning Board of Appeals, and Holland Civic Center Place Advisory Board.

Bocks’ priorities include housing, waterfront development, and celebrating the value of everyone who calls Holland home.

Abby Klomparens is running for Holland City Council Member At-Large. She grew up in Holland and attended Holland Public Schools. Klomparens' extensive involvement in local governance and advocacy, including roles on the Macatawa Transportation Authority Board and the Holland Human Relations Commission, reflects her passion for moving the community forward.

Quincy Byrd is running for re-election as Holland City Council Member At-Large. He has called Holland home for over 20 years. He is married and has four children who attend Holland Public Schools. He served in the Army, attended Cornerstone University, and currently works as an engineer at Pridgeon & Clay.

His background of hardships such as homelessness, job insecurity, and institutional racism has shaped his policies and priorities. He strives to give back and provide truly inclusive leadership. His priorities include jobs and business expansion, housing, lowering taxes and fees, and safe streets and public spaces.

Bylnda Sòl is running for re-election as Holland City Council Member for Ward 3. She is a 31-year resident of Holland, where she has raised three children. Bylnda is bi-lingual and has an undergraduate in liberal studies from Grand Valley State University, where she is currently employed for Veterans Upward Bound. She also served in the United States Army.

Tim Marroquin is running for Holland City Council for Ward 3. He is a lifelong resident of Holland. He has a Masters of Education from Grand Valley State University and works there as an adult student services specialist. He has previously worked at Catholic Central High School as the school's Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. He currently serves as the Holland Public Schools school board secretary and as the president of the Herrick District Library board of trustees.
