Vote YES to renew basic operations funding for our local schools

The Orchard Prairie School District is in need of a new school building as its current campus is failing to meet students' needs. Orchard Prairie School District Proposition 1 would create a $6.2 million bond to build a new school building with various improvements, including: ADA accessibility, a secure single point of entry, and dedicated space for special education services, to name a few.

The Orchard Prairie community cited some concerns for the cost and necessity of the project, which hindered the bond from passing in both February and November of 2024. The district addressed these concerns in their community letter, outlining the necessity of a long-term solution to their current buildings' poor conditions. While short-term solutions, such as portables or renovations, were explored, they would not adequately address safety concerns nor be cost-effective. Based on community feedback, the school improvement committee redrafted this bond to include only the essentials.

Orchard Prairie is recognized as a strong community that comes together to support one another. Vote YES to the Orchard Prairie School District Proposition 1 to ensure students in this community have a safe and secure learning environment at their school.
