With a background in ministry and education from Georgetown University and the Virginia Theological Seminary, Banse’s career as a pastor in the Episcopal Church has spanned 35 years, fostering a deep sense of service to others. His desire to promote unity and address community needs is evident in his work with the Windy Hill Foundation and his goal to serve his home district in the Virginia House of Delegates.

Banse aims to secure a sustainable and safe future for generations to come. He will advocate for preserving farmland and supporting local farmers through grant funding, while defending against overdevelopment that threatens open land and conservation efforts. Additionally, he prioritizes holding oil and gas companies accountable for environmental pollution and seeks to invest in clean, renewable energy initiatives to create jobs, reduce energy bills, and combat climate change in Northwest Virginia.

Banse prioritizes sustainable economic growth that balances development with preservation. He aims to boost economic opportunities and address affordability by supporting existing businesses and infrastructure. Banse will advocate for increased affordable housing options through rebates, tax breaks, and fair wages for working families. He plans to expand rural broadband to benefit small businesses and entrepreneurs, revitalizing small towns and investing in the tourism industry by preserving and protecting farmland, breweries, wineries, and wedding venues.

Banse prioritizes public safety and believes in making communities secure, from roads to schools. Banse wants to improve infrastructure to ensure traffic safety. Moreover, he aims to address mental health crises, drug overdoses, and family disputes by investing in trained mental health professionals to respond to people in crisis. Banse seeks to reduce gun violence while respecting the rights of law-abiding citizens through comprehensive gun safety measures, including mental health and background checks.

Banse advocates for ensuring a woman's autonomy over her body without state interference. He firmly believes in keeping the government from censoring literature and media consumption. Furthermore, Banse is dedicated to upholding voting rights, ensuring all eligible Virginians can exercise their democratic voice without hindrance.

Banse faces Republican Geary Higgins, retired Vice President of Labor Relations for National Electrical Contractors Association in Washington, DC who served on various boards in Loudoun County.
