Sally Davis is running for re-election as Marquette city commissioner. Davis has been a resident of Marquette since 1981 and holds a bachelor's degree in education from Western University and a master's in educational leadership from Northern Michigan University. She has 35 years of healthcare industry experience and retired from Marquette General Health System as a grant writer in 2008.
Her service on nonprofit boards and committees has been at the local, regional and national levels including Rotary, the YMCA, MAPS Education Foundation, U.P. Rowing, the Children’s Museum, the Women’s Center, and the Center for Telehealth and e-Health Law based in Washington D.C. Her advocacy for national telehealth reimbursement led to testifying before a U.S. House subcommittee.
