Michael Larson is running for re-election as Marquette city commissioner. Larson was appointed to the City Commission in January 2023. His experience includes nearly six years on the Marquette City Planning commission and two years as a member of the Board of Zoning Appeals.
Michael has a decade of experience in the clean energy and sustainability industry and currently serves as the assistant director of Michigan Energy Options. Additionally, he serves on the Board of Directors for Michigan Saves, the nation’s first nonprofit green bank, and is a member of the Sault Ste Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians. Michael earned a Master of Public Administration from Northern Michigan University in 2009.
