Jodi Decker is a Democrat running for the Michigan House of Representatives for the 107th District. Decker has lived in the Upper Peninsula her entire life. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and Corrections with a Minor in Business Administration from Lake Superior State University in 2011. She has worked a variety of jobs including being a foster parent, working with a juvenile justice reintegration program, and in child protective services.
Decker’s priorities include reforming the foster care system to better care for children in need, closing down Line 5 to protect the Great Lakes, supporting veterans, and pushing for more affordable housing in the Upper Peninsula. She will also fight to protect reproductive freedom and voting rights, and work to pass common sense gun violence prevention measures.
Decker is endorsed by three of our partners: Planned Parenthood Advocates of Michigan, American Federation of Teachers Michigan, and Equality Michigan.
Decker is running against Republican Neil Friske. Friske holds views on elections and education rooted in right-wing disinformation and conspiracy theories. He holds irresponsible views on guns, is anti-reproductive rights, and is endorsed by the anti-choice organization Right to Life Michigan.
Jodi Decker is the most progressive choice in this race.
