Kyra Bolden is an incumbent running for re-election to the Michigan House of Representatives in the 35th District. Bolden serves as the House Democratic Assistant Leader, Vice-Chair of the Progressive Women’s Caucus, and Co-Chair in the Attorney’s Caucus. She also serves on the committees of Ways and Means, Judiciary, the Select Committee on Reducing Car Insurance Rates, and the Joint Committee on Administrative Rules. Before becoming a representative, Bolden was a civil litigation attorney in downtown Detroit.
Bolden’s priorities include focusing on filling workforce gaps by supporting skills training and apprenticeships for Michigan’s working class, lowering healthcare costs and making it more accessible, and creating a program to find and retain teachers in Michigan. Bolden is also working to fix our crumbling infrastructure, fighting for women so they have equal pay for equal work and advocating for sexual assault surivors, as well as protecting our seniors and supporting our veterans.
Bolden is endorsed by seven of our partner organizations including Michigan Education Association, American Federation of Teachers, Michigan AFL-CIO, Michigan League of Conservation Voters, Sierra Club, Planned Parenthood Advocates of Michigan, and Between the Lines.
Bolden is running against Daniela Davis. While we didn't see endorsements for Davis from organizations that concern us, they also don't have the support of any of our partner organizations and therefore we cannot recommend them.
Bolden is the most progressive choice in this race.

Joe Biden
Joseph R. Biden, Jr. is the Democratic candidate for President of the United States. Born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, Biden has a long career in public service, most notably serving as Vice President alongside President Barack Obama from 2009 to 2016.
Chief Justice Bridget Mary McCormack and Elizabeth Welch are our recommendations for the Michigan Supreme Court. Both candidates will protect our civil rights while ensuring justice for all.
The Michigan Supreme Court race appears on the non-partisan section of the ballot, but McCormack and Welch were nominated by the Michigan Democratic Party. Be sure to turn your ballot over and do not leave this important race blank.
