He produced the National Vote-at-Home Initiative in 2019, a voter-registration effort that registered 30,000 voters in swing states. He is proudly gay and has advocated for LGBTQIA+ rights, and was the first ever Iranian American elected as president of the Stonewall Democrats, one of the oldest LGBT political organizations in the country.
