Richard Huddy, the former executive of CAPRI Heart & Lung Institute, is running for Bremerton City Council District 6. Huddy is a collaborator who has been working on revitalization efforts in Bremerton. He is also a public safety advocate who started a neighborhood watch with his wife called the Bremerton Rainier District.

Huddy faces opposition from a married couple who have received national attention for running against each other: conservative incumbent Roy Runyon, who was the only council member who declined to sign a letter opposing the casino on Callow Avenue, and Runyon's wife, Kim Faulkner, who told NBC News "Bremerton needs more qualified people to run for office" than her husband.
