Valenzuela's opponent, Independent Bud Blake, condemns the contracting of the custodial positions on his website and calls for the workers to be rehired. A great deal of Blake's focus is on the ARC jail, which is being underused and costing millions in tax money to keep open. However, Blake also has the backing of many local Republicans. We think Valenzuela is the better choice in this race.
