Jason Ritchie is a rising star who is running an energetic campaign to defeat incumbent Dave Reichert. Ritchie started a business remodeling homes for the disabled after his father had a stroke and suffered from limited mobility. With a strong commitment to progressive values on issues such as immigration reform, protecting safe and legal access to abortion, and fully funding education, Ritchie would be a welcome change to the district.
Conservative Republican Dave Reichert has yet to sponsor one piece of legislation that has been passed into law and is an ineffective representative for the district. Ritchie deserves your vote.Last updated: 2023-04-05Jason Ritchie

Rep. Tami Green has been one of the strongest leaders in the House for many years. Now she’s challenging appointee Sen. Steve O’Ban for the state Senate. Green has been very effective in bringing together a broad range of advocates to work together to protect our quality of life. Outside the legislature, Green is a registered nurse dedicated to caring for mentally ill adults and children. She would be a significant leader in the Senate.
Incumbent O’Ban was an extremely conservative first-term House member who was appointed to this seat last year when Sen. Mike Carrell passed away. He led the fight to block marriage equality for gay and lesbian couples in Washington. O'Ban also opposes access to safe and legal abortion. He has voted to cut funding for schools and to protect corporate tax loopholes. Tami Green's leadership, values, and priorities make her the best choice for the 28th district.Last updated: 2023-04-05Tami Green

Christine Kilduff is a state assistant attorney general who has twice been awarded an excellence in outstanding performance award for her work. A University Place School Board president with a knack for consensus building and transparency, Kilduff will be a great asset for our state's education crisis. Kilduff faces a tough primary with two Republican opponents, an Independent, and a Democratic challenger. In particular, Democrat John Connelly has received support from labor unions and is a strong progressive who will fight for working families. Additionally, Kilduff's opponents include conservative Paul Wagemann who ran for this seat and lost in 2010 and 2012; Republican Monique Trudnowski, a restaurant owner with close ties to the special interest restaurant association; and Independent Kevin Heiderich who is not running a competitive campaign. Due to her solid grasp of the law, dedication to serving the people over special interests, and background in education, Kilduff is the best candidate in this race.Last updated: 2023-04-05

Derek Young is a four-term Gig Harbor City Council member and small business owner. He wants to improve the county’s mental health and public safety services and has been an advocate for women’s health and reproductive rights. He emphasizes conservation efforts for the region, having tripled the size of the Gig Harbor's parks and open spaces while on the City Council. As a Board Member for Pierce Transit, Young fought to minimize cuts to public transportation options for Pierce County citizens.
Young is challenging conservative Stanley Flemming, who was first elected in 2010. Flemming recently moved to Gig Harbor to run for re-election after redistricting placed his house in University Place into a different district. In 2012, Flemming ran against Denny Heck for the U.S. House of Representatives and lost badly after campaigning on a platform of repealing the Affordable Care Act. Flemming’s congressional campaign also struggled with allegations of financial improprieties after taking out a large, legally questionable loan from a company in California. Derek Young is the clear choice in this race.Last updated: 2023-04-05Derek Young
