The Wisconsin Progressive Voters Guide compiles the information that allows you to make informed decisions about the races on your ballot, based on your values. Absentee ballots must be received by your municipal clerk by Tuesday, November 5 at 8PM. Vote in every race on your ballot, then share this guide with your friends and family!

State Senator, District 10

Depending on where you live, you may have one of the below State Senate races on your ballot.

Paul Hambleton is a former English and special education teacher who has also worked in public education advocacy. A resident of rural Wisconsin, he recognizes the importance of strong local economies, as well as ready access to healthcare, and knows that clean air and water are necessities for all of us. Hambleton is opposed by Republican Senator Rob Stafsholt, who received a 100% rating on the 2023-24 legislative scorecard for Wisconsin Family Action, an extremist conservative organization. Paul Hambleton is the progressive choice in this race.

State Assembly

Representative, District 28

A veterinarian, small business owner, and president of the Western Wisconsin Health board of directors, Danielle Johnson is running for the 28th Assembly District to give back to the community that has given her so much since she settled in St. Croix County 15 years ago. Johnson is focused on fighting for Wisconsin families, freedoms and futures by expanding BadgerCare, making smart investments to create good-paying jobs, providing working families some relief from rising costs, strengthening the freedom to vote, finding state-level solutions to climate change, and fighting to expand broadband access. Johnson strongly supports a person's right to make their own reproductive healthcare decisions and believes abortion should be safe, legal and accessible in Wisconsin. Danielle Johnson is the progressive choice in this race.

Jane Kleiss has lived in Polk County for nearly 20 years, becoming a well-known community figure through her work on the Festival Theater Board of Directors, her food at Cafe Wren, and her personal chef service. Kleiss believes the obstructionism so common in our state politics must stop if we are to move forward. She supports the right to choose an abortion, fully funding public schools and protecting Wisconsin’s natural environment, and supporting working families with access to affordable childcare. Kleiss is running against Republican candidate Duke Tucker, who has aligned himself with one of Wisconsin’s most radical anti-abortion organizations. Jane Kleiss is the progressive choice in this race.
