He believes that the gas tax should be tied to inflation to fund safe roads and bridges. Schutz is also in favor of fair maps, legalizing marijuana, and taking action on climate change. His opponent, Assemblyman Robert Wittke, is opposed to Medicaid expansion, wants lower taxes for the wealthy and corporations and fewer regulations, opposes common-sense gun safety measures, and is anti-choice. Schutz is the more progressive choice in this race.
