Other Ballot Measures
When a loved one is experiencing a health crisis, the last thing on our minds should be whether or not our local emergency response has the equipment, staffing, and resources to help promptly. Spokane Fire District 8 receives more than 4,200 calls annually, operating from four fire stations from Highway 195 to near the Idaho border. Passing Proposition 1 would allow Spokane Fire District 8 to continue providing rapid and effective fire and emergency medical services when our community needs it.
Proposition 8 would restore the levy to $0.50 per $1,000 in assessed property value. Currently, the rate is at $0.21 per $1,000 in value, meaning that the owner of a $400,000 home can expect to pay $116 more annually for life-saving services for our entire community.
Vote Yes on Spokane Fire District, Proposition 8, to keep our first responders equipped, prepared, and adequately funded.
