    Vote YES to Expand and Upgrade Yelm Schools

  • The Board of Directors of Yelm Community Schools are proposing Proposition No. 1 to improve school safety and security. This one-time bond would fund security improvements at all schools, including control entry/access, security cameras, lighting, and fencing, as well as replace Yelm Middle School and Southworth Elementary School and remove portable classrooms from these schools. Since the last bond in 2003, the school district has grown by 1,300 students and is projected to grow by 400 more. Vote yes on Proposition No. 1 to stop school overcrowding.
