Kevin M. Dougherty has served on the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania since 2016, after more than a decade on the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas.
As the court’s longest-serving Administrative Judge of Family Court, he launched innovative programs to support at-risk youth, improve juvenile justice, and help families in crisis. He later oversaw Pennsylvania’s largest trial court system and continues to champion initiatives on access to justice, behavioral health, and support for children and families.
A graduate of Temple University and Antioch School of Law, Justice Dougherty lives in Philadelphia.
