• Judge Timika Lane is the Democratic nominee for the open seat on the  Pennsylvania Superior Court. Currently, Lane is a judge of the Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas.

As a native Philadelphian, the values of hard work and public service were instilled into her at an early age as her grandmother was a Philadelphia Police Detective. Although Lane came from a teaching background, in 2002, she decided to pursue a career in law.

While attending Rutgers-Camden School of Law in New Jersey, she continuously sought ways to serve her community and worked for the Pro Bono Domestic Violence Project, the Bankruptcy Pro Bono Project and co-chaired the Black Law Students Community Outreach program.

Prior to her election to the bench in 2013, Lane worked as a chief legal counsel in the State Senate. In this role, she was on the front lines challenging Pennsylvania’s 2012 voter suppression law, organizing rallies and drafting legislation to counter its disparate impact on seniors, minorities, LGBTQ+ and the poor.

Her opponent, Megan Sullivan, has been endorsed by anti-abortion extremists and political committees representing big corporate interests.

Tamika Lane is the progressive choice for Pennsylvania Superior Court.
