Malaika Ramsey-Heath is running for one of two open seats on the 36th District Court in Wayne County, City of Detroit.
Ramsey-Heath is a graduate of Chicago-Kent College of Law and currently serves as a Magistrate at the 36th District Court. Prior to this role, she joined Community Legal Resources as the Director of the Detroit Vacant Property Campaign, started her own private law practice, and worked as an appellate level public defender. Ramsey-Heath has served as a board member of Michigan Legal Services.
According to her campaign website, Ramsey-Heath’s mission, if elected to the 36th District Court, includes promoting equality, providing opportunities that lead to a better future, and ensuring that justice and fairness are upheld for all members of the community.
