Kerene Moore is running for an open seat on the 15th District Court in Washtenaw County, City of Ann Arbor.
Moore is a graduate of the University of Michigan Law School. She currently serves as the Director of Conviction Integrity and Expungement at the Washtenaw County Prosecutor’s office. Prior to this role, Moore served in the Washtenaw County Circuit Court as a judicial attorney and juvenile referee. She has also been an attorney for the Michigan Advocacy Program/Legal Services of South Central Michigan and the Michigan Department of Civil Rights.
According to her campaign website, Moore’s priorities, if elected to the 15th District Court, are to maintain and expand access to treatment courts; prioritize safety and victim advocacy; continue criminal justice reform, and promote alternatives to incarceration.
