Noah Arbit is a Democrat running for the Michigan House of Representatives for the 20th District. Arbit was born and raised in West Bloomfield. He first began a path of advocating for and pursuing justice for others when he was only 18, testifying against a sexual predator who had assaulted Arbit and others. Arbit has since served on Governor Whitmer’s staff in Oakland County and founded the Michigan Democratic Jewish Caucus. He currently serves as the director of communications for the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office.
Arbit’s priorities, if elected to office, are expansive and detailed. He will fight to protect abortion access, ensure LGBTQ Michiganders are protected equally under the law, implement campaign finance reforms, and protect the right to vote. Arbit will advocate for expanding access to mental health care—especially for underserved communities, making prescription drugs affordable, holding utility companies accountable, and sustainably increasing public school funding. He will also fight to make Michigan a national leader in combating hate crimes.
Arbit is endorsed by six of our partners: Planned Parenthood Advocates of Michigan, Michigan AFL-CIO, American Federation of Teachers Michigan, Michigan League of Conservation Voters, Michigan Education Association, and Equality Michigan.
Arbit is running against Republican Albert Mansour. Mansour is anti-reproductive rights and holds irresponsible views on guns.
Noah Arbit is the most progressive choice in this race.
