Rep. Debbie Dingell is a Democratic candidate running for her fourth term in Michigan’s 6th Congressional District. Dingell has risen through the ranks to become co-chair of the House Democratic Policy and Communications Committee. She also serves as co-chair of the House Medicare for All Caucus and 12 other caucuses.

Healthcare and education have been focal points for Dingell’s career. She previously served as an executive at General Motors and as president of its foundation. In 2006, Michigan voters elected her to the Wayne State University Board of Governors, which she chaired. In addition to health care and education, her work in Congress has also centered around the auto industry, the environment, and veterans’ affairs.

Rep. Elissa Slotkin was first elected to Congress in 2018 and is now seeking her third term in the 7th Congressional District as the Democratic candidate. She gained recognition for her national security expertise, which she honed while working for the CIA and the Department of Defense.

In addition to national security, her priorities include healthcare, the environment, economic opportunity, equality, gun violence prevention, and campaign finance reform.

Slotkin worked hard in Congress to prevent Trump from abusing his powers. For instance, she was the lead sponsor of a bill to prevent President Trump from launching military action in Iran without Congressional approval.

Brian Jaye is a military veteran and legal professional running as the Democratic candidate to represent the 9th Congressional District. He was the first in his family to attend college and is running for Congress to ensure every child in America has equal opportunity to succeed.

Jaye is a pro-choice candidate who supports stronger protections for the LGBTQ+ community, efforts to combat systemic racism, and strong voting rights policies. He also supports a variety of policies to address economic inequality, including raising the federal minimum wage to $15 an hour.

Carl Marlinga is an attorney with decades of legal experience who is running as the Democratic candidate to represent the 10th Congressional District. He served for nearly four decades as Macomb County Prosecutor, an assistant U.S. attorney, and a judge on the 16th Judicial Circuit Court.

Marlinga fully supports the Constitutional right to get an abortion and intends to codify Roe into federal law. He wants to support good-paying jobs here in the U.S. to strengthen the economy, while also working to protect our Great Lakes and rivers and ensure they are clean for generations to come.

Rep. Haley Stevens is running as the Democratic candidate for her third term in Congress in the new 11th Congressional District. More than 200,000 jobs were saved thanks to Stevens’ work in the Obama administration, where she played key roles in helping to rescue the auto industry and revitalize manufacturing.

In addition to workforce development and technology, Stevens also prioritized health care, the environment, and equality during her first term in Congress. She was selected, alongside Colin Allred, to be co-presidents of the House Democratic freshman class of the 116th U.S. Congress.

More recently, Stevens voted to protect the U.S. Postal Service during a time when mail-in voting will be at an all time high, and called for greater transparency in the government.

Rep. Rashida Tlaib is running as the Democratic candidate for her third term in the 12th Congressional District. Tlaib is one of the first two Muslim women ever elected to Congress and was previously the first Muslim woman elected to the Michigan House of Representatives, where she served for six years.

Rep. Tlaib has spent her career and her term in Congress working for social, economic, environmental, and housing justice and standing up to wealthy special interests. Despite being new to Congress, she has already secured funding to prevent water shutoffs and keep vital services in operation during the COVID-19 crisis. She also opened four neighborhood service centers throughout her district.

Stephanie Chang is an incumbent Democrat running for her second term to the Michigan State Senate. Prior to serving in the State Senate, she served two terms in the Michigan House of Representatives, where she was on the leadership team for the House Democratic Caucus for both terms. Chang was the first Asian American woman to be elected to the Michigan Legislature and was a co-founder of the Asian Pacific American Legislative Caucus.

Chang’s priorities include air quality protection, education, criminal justice reforms, reproductive rights, and fighting for affordable and safe drinking water. Jeremy Moss is an incumbent Democrat running for his second term to the Michigan State Senate. He serves on the Economic and Small Business Development, Local Government, and Regulatory Reform committees.

One of Moss’ main priorities is open and honest government. When he was elected to the Michigan House of Representatives he worked to pass 10 bills in the House that would open up government records to public scrutiny by subjecting the governor’s office and state legislature to the principles of the Freedom of Information Act. Mallory McMorrow is an incumbent Democrat running for her second term to the Michigan State Senate. McMorrow gained worldwide praise in 2022 when a video of her impassioned response to a heinous attack from a colleague went viral.

McMorrow’s priorities include ending gun violence by passing real common-sense reforms including safe storage and emergency risk protection order legislation, defending reproductive rights, and protecting the right to vote. Padma Kuppa is a current Democratic representative in the Michigan House of Representatives in the 41st District, and she is running for Michigan State Senate in the 9th District. Helena Scott is an incumbent Democrat running for her second term to the Michigan House of Representatives representing the 7th District. Mike McFall is a Democrat running for the Michigan House of Representatives for the 8th District. McFall grew up in a blue-collar, union family just outside of Flint. He worked his way through college and graduated with a Bachelor’s in Community Development and Public Administration and has worked most of his career in the nonprofit sector. McFall currently lives with his husband in Hazel Park, where he is a member of the Hazel Park City Council and mayor pro tem.

McFall’s priorities include working to expand access to affordable health care, fighting to protect abortion access, and destigmatizing mental illness while working to shore up mental health resources. McFall will also fight for affordable or free child care and preschool, work to upgrade our infrastructure with climate resiliency in mind, push to expand public transportation options, and fight for an economy that works for everyone. Jason Hoskins is a Democrat running for the Michigan House of Representatives for the 18th District. Hoskins grew up as the son of two union members, graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a Bachelor’s in Political Science and a Master’s in Public Administration, and earned a law degree from the University of Detroit Mercy. He has served as vice president for the Michigan Metro-Detroit Branch of the ACLU and worked as a staff member for a state representative and state senator. Hoskins currently serves as the chair of the Legislative Committee on the Southfield City Council.

Hoskin’s priorities include fighting for a results-driven agenda that includes a fairer tax system, raising the minimum wage, paid sick leave, equitable funding for K-12 schools, and affordable college and skilled trades schools. Hoskins will advocate for holding utility companies accountable, enacting common sense gun violence prevention measures, fighting voter suppression efforts, and supporting immediate solutions that address climate change. Samantha Steckloff is an incumbent Democrat seeking re-election for her second term in the Michigan House of Representatives. After high school, while obtaining her degree from Purdue University in political science, Steckloff served as the youngest city youth advisor in the country. Later, she was elected to the Farmington Hills City Council twice, where she promoted sustainable building practices in the city, created the Community Health Commission, and expanded recycling programs.

Steckloff’s priorities include standing up to polluters and corporations to protect our air and water, investing in both traditional schools and trade schools, apprenticeships and other skills training programs, and standing alongside marginalized communities for equality in our state. As a cancer survivor, Steckloff’s priorities also include fighting for a public insurance option that helps Michiganders get the health care coverage they need and protects those with preexisting conditions.

Noah Arbit is a Democrat running for the Michigan House of Representatives for the 20th District. Arbit was born and raised in West Bloomfield. He first began a path of advocating for and pursuing justice for others when he was only 18, testifying against a sexual predator who had assaulted Arbit and others. Arbit has since served on Governor Whitmer’s staff in Oakland County and founded the Michigan Democratic Jewish Caucus. Jason Morgan is a Democrat running for the Michigan House of Representatives to represent the 23rd District. Morgan grew up in a small town in Northern Michigan and was the first in his family to graduate from college.
