Mike Hamrick is running for the Cherry Creek School Board in District D. Hamrick is a veteran and has been involved in CCSD and Arapahoe County for decades. He currently serves on the Cherry Creek Long Range Facility Planning Committee and the CCSD LRFPC Boundary Subcommittee. He has previously worked with several other boards and committees to work towards a better Cherry Creek. Hamrick is concerned with school funding and will work towards supporting students and famillies affected by federal cuts to SNAP and Medicaid. Hamrick hopes to invest in mental health needs and extraciriculars to enure student success.

Terry Bates is running for District D of the Cherry Creek School Board. Bates is the parent of five Cherry Creek graduates and hopes to pay back the educators and support staff that helped them develop into confident adults. He wants to help inspire the next generation of leaders. Important issues for Bates include financial stewardship, parent partnership, increasing transparency, and taking innovative approaches to education.

For his dedication to upholding the excellencce of Cherry Creek Schools, Terry Bates is the progressive choice for School Board Director District D.

Dr. DJ Torres is running for the Denver Public Schools Board of Education in District 3. Torres started out his career as a special education professional who has advocated for underserved and disenfranchised students. Torres has also worked in district leadership to help write and support policies such as the Know Justice, Know Peace resolution and the Black Excellence Resolution & Plan. He is a leader in school safety and has advocated for mental health and ending gun violence at the national level. Torres hopes to bring his lived and professional experiences to the DPS board to support teachers, students, and families. Torres is dedicated to supporting vulnerable students and immigrant families, creating pathways to equity, and ensuring safe respectful classrooms.

Monica Hunter is running for the District 4 seat on the Denver Public Schools Board of Education. Hunter is a DPS graduate, teacher, and parent and hopes to bring her an all-angles approach to the DPS board. Hunter has led an impressive and varied career having served as a strike captain in the 2019 strike and as founder of the DCTA Black Educators Caucus. She has also worked in advocacy with the Colorado Education Association where she is now the leader of the new Human and Civil Rights Department. Hunter will fight to secure fair and plentiful funding, academic success, and school safety. 
Also running are Jeremy Harris, Tamiya Jackson, and Michelle Quattlebaum.

Xóchitl Gaytán is running for reelection to the Denver Public School Board of Directors in District 2. Gaytán previously served as president of the DPS Board. She is truly committed to the communities of southwest Denver and the power of public education. Gaytán was born in Mexico and is now a naturalized United States citizen. With her own lived experience to inform her, Gaytán is dedicated to defending the right to education for undocumented students. She will work towards bettering student teacher ratios, accurately allocating tax dollars, and supporting staff.

Amy Klein Molk is running for the Denver Public Schools Board of Education At Large. Klein Molk has a wealth of experience in education policy and advocacy both in and outside the classroom. She is the founder of an education technology company that helped facilitate interactive digital learning to students during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Klein Molk is also a paraprofessional in DPS and hopes to bring her first hand educator experience to the DPS school board. Klein Molk’s priorities include teacher and student safety, improving student outcomes, and community partnerships. She hopes to help DPS overcome systemic and individual student challenges to produce confident high achieving young people.

Tina Moeinian se postula para el Distrito 5 de la Junta Escolar de JeffCo. Mediadora profesional y estadounidense de primera generación, Moeinian aspira a centrar la equidad y la dignidad en la Junta Escolar de JeffCo. Espera ayudar al distrito a encontrar resiliencia frente a los recortes presupuestarios federales y las agendas políticas. Apoyar a los educadores, garantizar el éxito de los estudiantes y gestionar los recursos de los contribuyentes son aspectos importantes de la plataforma de Moeinian. Se dedica a una política transparente y centrada en el estudiante que proteja el poder de la educación pública.

Peter Gibbons se postula para el Distrito 2 de la Junta Escolar de Jeffco. Gibbons comenzó su trayectoria política como organizador sindical, lo que finalmente lo llevó a convertirse en abogado. Espera aportar esta experiencia a la junta escolar y confía en su capacidad para afrontar los desafíos que Jeffco enfrenta hoy en día. Gibbons espera invertir en el profesorado, acabar con la censura y los argumentos culturales, y restaurar la confianza en la gobernanza educativa. Gibbons apoyará un presupuesto y prácticas financieras que permitan el desarrollo de todos los estudiantes y el personal.

Denine Echevarría se postula para el Distrito 1 de la Junta Escolar de Jeffco. Echevarría es una educadora y coordinadora con amplia experiencia en instrucción bilingüe, educación especial y, actualmente, como coordinadora de operaciones para una organización sin fines de lucro. Su objetivo será fortalecer los sistemas de apoyo para estudiantes mediante la colaboración con la comunidad y con los padres. Echevarría cree en la educación centrada en el estudiante y aboga por oportunidades de aprendizaje accesibles. También espera impulsar el desarrollo profesional de los educadores y abordar las dificultades de dotación de personal y de carga de trabajo para mejorar la experiencia educativa de todos.

También se postula Michael Yocum. Yocum es un profesional de tecnología y no cuenta con una plataforma bien desarrollada.

Denine Echevarría es la opción progresista para el Distrito 1 de las Escuelas de Jeffco.
