Vice President Kamala Harris is the Democratic nominee to serve as the 47th President of the United States. The daughter of Indian and Jamaican immigrants, Harris' election would represent a historic achievement for women and underrepresented communities across the nation.

Born on October 20, 1964, in Oakland, California, Harris attended the historically Black Howard University, then graduating from University of California College of the Law, San Francisco. Harris was elected in 2003 as District Attorney of San Francisco, working to reduce recidivism and combat injustice against vulnerable populations. In 2010, Harris was elected California's Attorney General, winning re-election in 2014 before successfully running for the U.S. Senate in 2016. In 2020, Harris was chosen by now-President Joe Biden to serve as the first woman Vice President of the United States.

During Harris' term in the U.S. Senate, she played a central role in fighting back against Donald Trump's Supreme Court Justice appointments, defending the Affordable Care Act that millions of Americans rely on, and working across the aisle on immigration and criminal justice issues. As Vice President, Harris broke a record number of tie votes to pass critical legislation. Harris has promised to sign in to law legislation restoring the abortion rights protections eliminated by the repeal of Roe v. Wade.

Harris' running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, is one of the nation's strongest and most effective progressive chief executives. From humble beginnings as a school teacher and 24 years of enlisted military service, Walz has channeled that experience into tireless advocacy for progressive solutions to the problems faced his state and the nation. As Governor of Minnesota, Walz signed free school meals, abortion rights, and universal background checks for gun purchases into law.

Harris' opponent in the 2024 President race, former President Donald Trump, was ruled ineligible by the Colorado Supreme Court for the presidential ballot on the basis of the 14th Amendment prohibition on candidates for office who have engaged in insurrection. This ruling removing Trump from the ballot was invalidated by the U.S. Supreme Court, but the finding that Trump had engaged in insurrection was not addressed in their decision. Trump continues to assert that he won the 2020 presidential election despite no evidence to support that claim ever emerging. As President, Trump appointed three far-right Justices to the U.S. Supreme Court, skewing the court's bias for a generation and directly resulting in the repeal of the historic Roe v. Wade decision guaranteeing abortion rights. Massive tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans signed into law by Trump helped result in historic deficits under his administration and his successor. After losing the 2020 Presidential election, Trump's refusal to admit defeat resulted in the violent assault on the U.S. Capitol on January 6th, 2021, an event Trump hoped would disrupt the peaceful transfer of power.

The 2024 Presidential election represents both the clearest and most important choice for American voters in generations. For the sake of the rule of law and American democracy, Kamala Harris is the progressive choice to be the next President of the United States.
 

Incumbent U.S. Rep. Joe Neguse is running for reelection in Colorado’s 2nd Congressional District. Neguse, a lawyer and the son of Eritrean refugees, is the first and so far only Black American to serve Colorado in Congress. Prior to his election to Congress, Neguse served as a University of Colorado Regent representing the 2nd District and a legislative aide under Colorado Speaker of the House Andrew Romanoff.

Rep. Neguse is the former vice-chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, and currently serves as Chair of the Democratic Policy and Communications Committee, in addition to serving on the Rules, Natural Resources and Judiciary Committees. Neguse advocates for bold progressive policies to address the most pressing issues facing our nation, such as Medicare for All and the Green New Deal. His priorities to date in Congress have included lowering prescription drug prices, raising workers’ wages, ensuring greater accountability in government, and protecting public lands, which make up over 50% of his district.

In Rep. Neguse's first two-year term in office after election to Congress in 2018, he introduced more legislation than any freshman lawmaker in the country and has had more legislation signed into law than any member of Colorado’s congressional delegation. As a member of the House Judiciary Committee, Neguse played a key role in holding former President Donald Trump accountable in Trump's second impeachment trial. Before Congress, Neguse fought to expand opportunities for families across Colorado in a variety of roles: as a co-founder of New Era Colorado, the state’s largest youth voter registration and mobilization nonprofit; as a six-term member of CU’s Board of Regents; and as leader of the state’s consumer protection agency for two years.

Neguse is a self-described eternal optimist who will continue to provide Colorado’s 2nd Congressional District with enthusiastic, diligent, and bold representation if reelected.

Rep. Neguse's Republican opponent, Marshall Dawson, is the vice-chairman of the Boulder County Republicans with no elected experience, and is considered a placeholder candidate in a race where Republicans have no realistic chance at winning.

Rep. Joe Neguse has proven himself to be the clear progressive choice for Colorado.

Incumbent U.S. Rep. Jason Crow, a lawyer and former Army Ranger who completed three tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, is running for reelection in Colorado's 6th Congressional District. In 2018, he defeated longtime Republican incumbent Mike Coffman to become the first Democrat ever to represent this district.

Before serving in Congress, Crow spent years helping veterans like himself who struggled to receive benefits, focusing his work on veteran homelessness and substance abuse issues. Then, during his first term, Crow stepped into the national spotlight as one of the seven impeachment managers who argued for Donald Trump’s removal from office during the Senate trial. Crow made the case that Trump put both Ukraine’s safety and the U.S.’s national security at risk by withholding military aid in exchange for political favors. Today, Rep. Crow is the co-chair of the investigative committee into the assassination attempt against former President Donald Trump.

Crow’s district is the most diverse in Colorado, with 1 in 5 residents being born outside the United States; Crow has said this is what makes his community such a special place to live. He supports protecting DREAMers and passing comprehensive immigration reform and has called for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to end its contracts with private prison companies.

Crow has worked on instituting campaign finance reform. The first bill he sponsored, the End Dark Money Act, would prevent mega-donors from being able to hide their political contributions. His other priorities include preventing gun violence, combatting the effects of climate change, ensuring small businesses are able to thrive, and fighting for a bold investment in America’s infrastructure. Crow has been a key vote in favor of major infrastructure, LGBTQ+ rights, and voting rights legislation passed during the Biden administration.

Rep. Crow's Republican opponent John Fabbricatore is a former Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent running on an almost exclusively anti-immigrant platform. Fabbricatore has been a principal source of misinformation about the presence of foreign gangs in Aurora, which has been amplified by former President Donald Trump and condemned by fellow Republicans in Aurora city government. Fabbricatore hosted a campaign event with Rep. Lauren Boebert and national Republicans in Aurora to further spread false information about crime in the city.

Rep. Crow has served the residents of the 6th Congressional District with distinction and is the clear progressive choice in this race.

Incumbent Rep. Brittany Pettersen is running for a second term representing Colorado's 7th Congressional District. Pettersen has represented the west Denver suburbs since her original election in 2012 to the Colorado House, then succeeding Sen. Andy Kerr in Senate District 22 in 2019. 

In Congress and her previous career in the Colorado General Assembly, Pettersen has been a leading advocate for criminal justice reform and combating the opioid addiction crisis that threatens communities across the state and nation. Pettersen helped pass landmark Equal Pay for Equal Work legislation which has been modeled in other states. Pettersen was one of the sponsors of the Colorado Option health insurance reform measure intended to reduce premiums on the individual market by up to 20%. In Congress, Petterson has promised to fight for the repeal of the 2017 Trump Tax Cuts and a fairer tax policy for all Americans. Pettersen currently serves on the House Financial Services Committee, and is the Vice Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on National Security, Illicit Finance, and International Financial Institutions.

Pettersen faces a range of minor candidates with little experience. Pettersen's Republican opponent is business owner Sergei Matveyuk. Former state Sen. Ron Tupa, who allied himself with Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s failed presidential campaign, is an unaffiliated candidate in this race.

Pettersen is far and away the superior candidate to continue to provide strong progressive leadership to the 7th Congressional District.

Kathy Gebhardt is a Democrat running for the Colorado State Board of Education to represent Colorado's 2nd Congressional District. Gebhardt currently teaches education law at the Sturm College of Law at the University of Denver. Gebhardt formerly served on the Boulder Valley School District Board of Education, District C, and served for 8 years on the Board of Directors for the Colorado Association of School Boards. Gebhardt is running to support public education and improve school finance.

Gebhardt faces only a write-in Libertarian opponent, Ethan Augreen.

Kathy Gebhardt is the clear choice to represent the 2nd Congressional District on the Colorado State Board of Education.

Elliott Hood the Democratic candidate running for an at-large (statewide) seat on the University of Colorado Board of Regents. Hood is a graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder. Hood currently serves on the Boulder Parks and Recreation Advisory Board. Hood is a former fifth-grade teacher who became an attorney for school districts, involved in litigation to defend COVID-19 safety measures and protections against discrimination. Hood served as vice chairman of the Colorado Disability Funding Committee. Hood is running to keep the CU system affordable and fight for the rights of campus workers.

Hood's Republican opponent Eric Rinard is an engineer and graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder, and serves as a board member at the Aspen Ridge Preparatory School charter school in Erie.

Elliott Hood is the recommended progressive choice to serve statewide on the University of Colorado Board of Regents.

Sen. Chris Kolker is seeking reelection to Senate District 16. He lives in Arapahoe County with his family and has served in the State Senate since 2021.

Sen. Kolker will continue to fight for funding for Colorado schools, gun safety, improving Colorado's transportation, and taking action on climate change. He has fought for criminal justice reform and is endorsed by the Human Rights Campaign, Planned Parenthood, the Sierra Club, and several unions. Sen. Kolker joined picket lines in support of healthcare workers and the Service Employees International Union.

Donald Trump enthusiast Robyn Carnes is the Republican running on a platform of election denial and conspiracy theories. Bennett Rutledge is running also as the Libertarian candidate.

Sen. Chris Kolker is the progressive choice for Senate District 16.

Rep. Lindsey Daughtery is running for Senate District 19. Daughtery currently chairs the Health and Human Services Committee in the State House. Prior to serving in the State House, Rep. Daughtery worked in family law as a children's advocate and guardian ad litem.

Rep. Daugherty is a leader on education, housing, and health care. She has helped pass legislation that would support suicide prevention and to help law enforcement prevent human trafficking. Rep. Daugherty has worked to strengthen the job force and introduced legislation to help secure workers compensation and aid for small businesses struggling during the pandemic. Rep. Daugherty firmly supports abortion rights and LGBTQ+ rights.

Sam Bandimere is running against Daugherty - supporting conservative causes like the Taxpayer Bill of Rights. Ryan Van Gundy is also running as the Libertarian candidate.

Rep. Lindsey Daugherty is the proven progressive candidate for Senate District 19.

Majority Leader Monica Duran is running for reelection to House District 23. As a House Representative, Rep. Duran has championed support for domestic violence survivors and working families. Rep. Duran has worked to pass gun safety legislation in Colorado. Rep. Duran believes in helping teachers and students to access the adequate resources and support needed. She also believes in expanding access to health care and protecting reproductive rights.

Republican Cory Ohnesorge is also running for House District 23. Ohnsegore is a right-wing conspiracy theorist running on an anti-immigration platform. Ohnesorge also wants to repeal vote-by-mail and absentee voting in Colorado.

Rep. Monica Duran is a proven progressive voice for District 23.

Lisa Feret is running to represent Colorado House District 24. Feret is a US Air Force veteran and social worker who has done significant work in disaster relieve and immigrant/refugee services. She currently works for the State of Colorado as a social worker and is an active member of the boards for The Community Table, Foothills Regional Housing Corp, DRCOG, Housing Advisory Committee, Jefferson County Community Corrections Board, and Human Services Advisory Committee.

Feret is an advocate for both crime reduction and law enforcement reform. Having served in the Military Police, Feret brings an important perspective to the matter. She supports alternative approaches to police action such as early intervention, the mental health co-response model, and solving route causes of crime. She believes in furthering healthcare access for all, green policies, and supporting small businesses.

Opposing Feret is Gwen Henderson. Henderson is an anti-LGBTQ+ extremist who supports vouchers and the "rights" of an individual parent to stipulate what children can and should be taught in schools. She is a conservative TABOR supporter seeking to cut "social welfare projects."

Lisa Feret is the progressive choice for House District 24.

Rep. Tammy Story is running for reelection to House District 25. Rep. Story has been a dedicated advocate for public safety, public education, and health care throughout her tenure at the legislature.

Rep. Story has passed legislation to make higher education more accessible by fortifying the Colorado Opportunity Scholarship initiative and supported legislation to train a workforce for the energy sector. She also sponsored legislation to increase law enforcement accountability and to prevent the use of excessive force by police officers.

George B. Mumma Jr. is the Republican running against Representative Story. Mumma is an anti-tax, pro-voucher candidate who believes that suicide hotline operators are "grooming children" when they discuss matters of LGBTQ+ issues without parental involvement.

Rep. Tammy Story has the track record of helping Coloradans move forward. She is the clear progressive choice for House District 25.

State Rep. Brianna Titone is running for reelection to Colorado House District 27. Rep. Titone, first elected to the Colorado State House 2018, has brought her scientific background in technology and geology to public policy. As the first openly transgender woman to be elected to office in the state, she has fought tirelessly against anti-LGBTQ bills and ending discriminatory draconian policies against marginalized groups. Rep. Titone has fought for improved transportation infrastructure and access, equity in per-pupil public school funding, and advancing technology access for all with increased broadband. With a background in science, Titone has sponsored several climate resilience bills to reduce pollution, protect water quality, and boost energy efficiency.

Republican Ed Cox is challenging Rep. Titone.

Rep. Titone’s policies and record combined make her the unequivocal progressive in District 27.

Rep. Sheila Lieder is running for reelection to House District 28. As a long-time labor leader, Rep. Lieder is a champion for working Jefferson County families. Rep. Lieder has been a fixture in her community and the labor movement for years, including as a longtime volunteer for the Colorado Alliance of Retirees.

Rep. Lieder is running to continue her work on making Colorado more affordable for working families, protecting public education, saving Coloradans money on health care. She will protect abortion and reproductive rights and make Jefferson County safer. Rep. Lieder has sponsored legislation on housing accessibility, infrastructure improvements for public schools, and protections for working minors. Rep. Lieder has a proven track record of standing up for Coloradans.

Challenging Rep. Lieder is Republican, Peter Boddie. Boddie is a conservative that supports hateful anti-LGBTQIA+ and anti-diversity policies for schools. He is running on a pro gun, anti-immigration platform.

Rep. Sheila Lieder, will continue to represent working Coloradans in House District 28 and is the progressive choice.

Rep. Shannon Bird is seeking re-election for a fourth term in the Colorado State House District 29. Rep. Bird was first elected to the State House in 2018 after serving on the Westminster City Council, where she lives with her family.

Rep. Bird currently serves as Chair of the Joint Budget Committee and Vice Chair of the Appropriations Committee. She has led the way in supporting small businesses through her Small Business Recovery Loan Program; cosponsored the $5.3 billion transportation package; fought for all day kindergarten and preschool; and signed on as a co-sponsor for the Reproductive Health Equity Act. Bird will continue to represent working families and small businesses and protect freedoms in the Colorado legislature.

Extremist right-wing Republican, Evan Hunt is challenging Representative Bird. Hunt opposes public health and seeks to expand the oil and gas industry as well as TABOR (Taxpayers Bill of Rights).

Rep. Bird is the progressive candidate running for House District 29.

Rebekah Stewart is running for House District 30. Stewart is a music therapist and healthcare advocate as well as a member of the Lakewood City Council.

At the legislature, Stewart will advocate for health care, reproductive justice, and renewable energy initiatives. As a therapist, she is a staunch supporter of increasing mental health resources in schools and law enforcement agencies. Stewart understands the vital need for mental health and social work co-responders working with law enforcement in mental health crisis situations. She supports LGBTQ+ rights and reducing gun violence.

Ramey Johnson, an anti-public education and pro-TABOR Republican is also running for House District 30. She also wants to see the expansion of law enforcement and reinstatement of "qualified immunity."

Rebekah Stewart is the progressive choice for House District 30.

Rep. Lorena Garcia is seeking reelection to Colorado House District 35. Garcia is a long-time nonprofit leader - who continues her work in organization for marginalized communities and standing up for working Colorado families. She is dedicated to celebrating diversity, increasing public school funding from pre-K to higher ed, and strengthening the economy. Rep. Garcia is a 7th generation Coloradan and understands the struggles faced by working Coloradans. She has helped lead the way on renewable energy initiatives and reproductive justice protections.

Rep. Garcia has also sponsored legislation to support birth equity in correctional facilities, integration programs for migrants, and protections for name changes to align with one's gender identity. She is a progressive champion for all Coloradans.

Republican, Lee Knoll is opposing Rep. Garcia, and does not have any public platform information.

Rep. Lorena Garcia is the progressive choice for House District 35.

Gretchen Rydin is running for House District 38. Rydin is a Littleton City Council member, therapist, and social worker. She is an advocate for trauma and addiction recovery as well as for the LGBTQ+ community and refugees. Rydin promises to fight for equitable and accessible housing, small businesses, and arts and education funding. She chaired the Regional Opioid Council and directed more than $49M in funding for substance use prevention, treatment, harm reduction, recovery, and criminal justice programs in Arapahoe County. She also helped pass a inclusive housing ordinance in Littleton to ensure affordable housing as a part of new builds.

Opposing Rydin is a pro-gun candidate and TABOR (Taxpayers Bill of Rights) expansionist Jeffery Patty, of the Republican Party.

Gretchen Rydin is the progressive choice for House District 38.

Rachel Zenzinger is the Democrat running for Jefferson County Commissioner District 1. She is the outgoing State Senator from Arvada. In the legislature, Zenzinger serves on the year-round Joint Budget Committee, which is responsible for creating the state's annual balanced budget. 

Rachel is a mom who has spent her career serving her Jefferson County community. Zenzinger also served on the Arvada City Council, the boards for the Arvada Center and the Ralston House, the Jefferson County Child and Youth Commission, the Arvada Community Food Bank, and the Denver Regional Council of Governments. 

With a deep background in economic development, Zenzinger is focused on helping local businesses to thrive; finding solutions to the County's transportation needs; efficient land use solutions to the county's housing crisis; and equipping Jefferson County with the resources necessary to address fires and public safety while preserving trails and open space. If this sounds like a big policy platform, it is. Zenzinger is a proven and diligent community leader who will keep Jefferson County moving forward. 

Challenging Zenzinger for the open seat is Republican Candidate Charlie Johnson. Johnson is running to combat the "liberal Jefferson County Commissioners." Johnson will work to combat property taxes, keep illegal immigrants out of Jefferson County, and work to keep Jefferson County kids "free from indoctrination. If it sounds extreme, he is. 

Rachel Zenzinger, for Jefferson Cunty Commissioner District 1, is a proven and pragmatic leader who will keep the county moving forward. 

The Jefferson County Commissioner position is elected at-large or county-wide. 
 

Commissioner Andy Kerr is seeking re-election to represent Jefferson County Commissioner District 2. Commissioner Kerr is a father, husband, educator, former State Representative and Senator, and avid cyclist. He has lived in Lakewood since he was eight years old. 

The Jefferson County Commissioner position is elected at-large or county-wide. Commissioner Kerr is a dedicated public servant who has championed public education, renewable energy, and working Jefferson County families. He is seeking reelection to make sure that the County has a growing economy that works for all of its residents and families. This includes support for small business owners, paid sick leaves; and living wages for public workers and contractors. 

Kerr sees Jefferson County open space as the "crown jewel" of the Denver metro area. Andy will continue leading the way to expand multi-use trails, ensure strategic and financial support for wildfire mitigation, and work to increase funding for outdoor education programs and conservation easements for farmers and ranchers. Kerr will continue to be a leader on balanced growth as well as mental health and social services for the county. 

Natalie Menten is an anti-tax, anti-growth evangelist running to unseat Commissioner Kerr in November. Menten is a Republican librarian who opposes taxes and government mandates, such as growth. 

Commissioner Andy Kerr is a dedicated community advocate and public servant who will keep Jefferson County moving forward. 
 

Chris Gutschenritter is running for RTD District D. An "IT Leader" and member of multiple City of Englewood boards, Gutschenritter is running to rebuild trust in RTD. Gutschenritter is running to increase use of RTD and enhance rider safety. He will work to restore trust in the agency by increasing operational reliability and transparency. He is endorsed by ATU Local 1001.

Barbara McManus has spent over a decade as Executive Manager of the Board of Directors' Office at RTD. She is running to increase safety, work to make sure that RTD is accessible to all, foster transparency, and advocate for resources to maintain quality infrastructure.

Gutschenritter is running to bring changes to RTD and move forward.

Brett Paglieri is running for Regional Transportation District District M. Representing Edgewater, Golden, Lakewood, and Wheat Ridge, Paglier is a transit advocate and user running to create a better, safer transit system for the Denver Metro area. Paglieri is endorsed by Greater Denver Transit.

Write-in candidate DIck Shuster is also running for District M. A mechanical engineer and grandfather, running to bring ridership back to RTD.

Paglieri is the more progressive and better prepared candidate for RTD District M.

The First Judicial District Commission on Judicial Performance agrees by a vote of 9-1 that Judge Jason D. Carrithers MEETS PERFORMANCE STANDARDS.
