Parker has worked for the California state legislature for over 25 years, holding roles in the Chief Clerk’s office in both the Assembly and the Senate for 22 years before transitioning to her current position as assistant consultant to the Senate Rules Committee in 2019. She came to these roles through a UC-Davis undergraduate internship program, and has served as an assistant clerk, a legislative clerk, a history clerk, and a journal clerk during her career. With substantial experience in these non-partisan roles, Parker has a candidate platform that includes investing in workforce development and alternative career pathways, expanding broadband access, protecting reproductive freedom, protecting seniors from abuse, and increasing access to affordable health care. She is vice chair of the City of Roseville’s Grants Advisory Commission, and a member of Placer County’s Older Adult Advisory Commission. Parker is from Hercules, and has lived in Roseville for over 20 years.
