It will also restore staffing at community and senior centers. Accountability and oversight is provided through the City Council. Our parks system is one of our greatest democratic institutions, bringing together people from all walks of life and all races and ethnicities to share in the beauty of nature and the benefits of recreation. We should protect this legacy for future generations.
